Helen Sutton, one of Supreme Home Care’s longstanding Care Workers has been honoured– twice!
Helen from Donnington has not only be rewarded for her long service with Supreme Home Care, but one of her regular clients has nominated her for a ‘You’re a Star’ award which she received in a ceremony earlier this month.
Amy Hutchings, Registered Care Manager for Supreme Home Care said ‘as one of our longest serving members of staff, Helen exemplifies the standard of care we deliver. She is reliable and nothing is too much trouble. She goes about her caring in quiet, understated way but all her clients appreciate what she does for them. We are very lucky to have her as a main-stay member of our team.’
Helen was also recently nominated by one of her clients for the Company’s ‘You’re a Star’ award and she received this at a double celebration. Jacky Earnshaw the Director of Care said ‘ Helen was nominated by a client’s wife for being extra caring towards her husband during a period of acute illness. We encourage our clients to tell us when our staff go above and beyond what we expect of them. We can then thank them properly for their efforts’.
When she started with Supreme Home Care in the summer of 2008, Helen traded being a professional child-minder at home for visiting adults and older people in their homes. Helen recalls ‘It was a real change for me to go out to work and to be with adults all day. I soon realised how much I enjoyed being a Care Worker and how rewarding it is to help clients stay independent in their own homes. I enjoy meeting new clients and finding ways to make their lives easier’.
