Telford-based Supreme Home Care has today announced its acquisition of the home care division of Coverage Care Services.
The deal to transfer 50 staff and the contract to care for around 100 people per week was completed on December 1, with the management of both firms pledging a seamless transition for service users.
- 50 staff were transferred from Coverage Care at Home to Supreme Home Care.
- Supreme Home Care was established in 2006.
- The transfer involves 1000 hours of care per week to approximately 100 people.
Chief executive of Coverage Care Services, David Coull, said: “We have taken a strategic decision to further build on the development of our care home business, which has continued to grow and enjoys great success in both commercial terms and with regard to the satisfaction of our service users. We have long since recognised that domiciliary care is a specialism requiring increasingly active management and time. To focus on developing that area of business to a fully viable scale may risk detracting from our core expertise.
“I’m delighted to say that in Supreme Home Care we have found a buyer for the domiciliary care part of our business which is respected locally as an excellent service provider, of equal standing to Coverage Care Services Limited. We have no hesitation in recommending them to our clients and staff. In fact, their agency manager previously managed our agency and is familiar to many of our current team, which has made the transition very straightforward.
Director of Supreme Home Care, Sue Robson, said: “Coverage Care Service’s domiciliary care division is an ideal fit for Supreme Home Care because both organisations are run to the same high standards and with the needs of service users as the top priority. We are delighted to be taking on a dedicated, skilled and caring staff with the business, who will ensure continuity in the service, and that will be reassuring for everyone involved.
“We -welcome the staff into the Supreme Home Care Team and I’m pleased that now the transfer has finally happened we can build on already firm foundations in a way that will ensure ever greater stability for those who rely on us for a range of care needs in their homes on a daily basis.”
